About us
All our staff are training or trained with a range of childcare qualifications and/or complimentary child care skills. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork within the club with parents, staff and children actively encouraged to contribute to the development of the club. Our full range of policies including equal opportunities, health & safety, additional needs, child protection and healthy eating are all available for parents in the club file. Daily activities include (but are by no means limited to): Board games, Puzzles, Arts & Crafts, Sport, Construction Toys, Outdoor Activities, Cooking, card games and reading!.
Refreshments are provided at the after school club, in line with our Healthy Eating Policy, this includes a healthy snack, light tea and refreshments. Operating Times & Charges We have a two tier charging system 3.15PM-4.15PM £6.00 3.15PM-6.00PM £12.00 Regular sessions need to be pre-booked and paid for half termly in advance. Occasionally sessions may be booked on an ad-hoc basis depending on availability. Please Note So to ensure your child’s safety: All staff are police checked for their suitability to work with children. There is always a trained first-aider available The equipment & premises have passed official inspection by OFSTED. Children are signed in and out and will only be permitted to leave with an authorised person. To enable all children to have fun safely, reasonable behaviour is essential. The club expects and will encourage children to behave responsibly and to respect both staff and each other. Repeated disobedience and/or persistent anti-social behaviour could disrupt the club for all. Consequently, the club reserves the right to terminate the contract. A.S.K! does not allow children to attend the club when they are sick or have an infection, please see our policy for more information. We operate within St Johns School in Lemsford Village, Herts. We aim to provide a fun, stimulating, safe and relaxed environment for children aged 4-11 years.
When it comes to activities we are very passionate! There is sure to be something of interest for everyone!
In addition to this we regularly involve children in planning other special activities examples include: celebrating cultures & festivals, Treasure Hunts, Sports activities, Film time, Music time, and Picnics.
