Our vision for St John’s is shaped by our shared Christian values and is driven by a desire for all at St John’s to embrace challenge and to grow to be the very best they can be, in all aspects of their life. ' I came that they may have life, life in all its fullness' (John 10:10) is at the heart of everything we do. We seek to nourish the curiosity in each child by creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring learning environment. Please read on and explore our website to find out more about our nurturing, inclusive school community.

    Michelle Boylan B.A. (HONS) M.Ed.

Our excellent staff team of dedicated teachers and teaching assistants, work hard together with the children to ensure that this school, rated ‘Good’ in our last Ofsted (May 2023) continues its journey of school improvement and that we all meet new challenges with confidence and enthusiasm.

We are a school whose highest priority, alongside the excellent progress and development of our pupils, is the safeguarding of all children in our care. We ensure robust, transparent procedures and have a nurturing environment to ensure that your child feels safe and happy at school.

At St John's School, we see the curriculum in the broadest possible terms, which extends beyond National Curriculum lessons to encompass all that is experienced, both in and out of the classroom. This means that concepts such as our ethos, which is crucial to our values of a Church of England school, are acknowledged as an important part of 'our curriculum'. Our vision challenges us all and holds us all accountable in every aspect of school life. We seek to offer our children a richness of opportunity and experience in their time with us, ranging from residential trips, concerts, workshops, sports events and clubs. Our weekly newsletters bear testament to the richness of opportunity that all or children are offered.

If you are looking to join our school please do not hesitate to contact us for a visit to see our school in action. I would be delighted to show you round and our secretary is always at the end of the phone to answer any questions or queries.
