Governors at St John's
St John’s C of E Primary School has an extremely committed and hard-working Governing Body which works closely with all stakeholders to ensure that the school continues to sustain excellence and to retain its Christian vision and values.
Governors spend valuable time in school not only helping the drive towards continuous improvement but also by being part of the school community. At the end of each half-term, a governor will attend our weekly Celebration Assembly to give out Governor Awards and at the end of each school year, governors organise a special trip or event for those children who have achieved this award that year. Governors are also an important part of our school improvement process as they support the school in monitoring various aspects of the current school improvement plan. They visit classes, join in collective worship and talk to children and staff in order to monitor developmental steps that the school is making.
